Find a suitable plot of land for a bungalow

This is the most important thing before starting the actual planning. In order to correctly estimate how large the property should be, we recommend you consider 3 aspects:

Perimeter area to adjacent properties (to be verified in the development plan),
Number of residents
Green spaces and associated accessories such as double garage and/or covered parking space are desired.

In principle, however, it can be said that you usually calculate more surface area for the floor plan because your house is on one level. Since the need for living space per capita is still increasing, a 140 m² bungalow is no longer rare.
